Chicago

In honor of #TBT a.k.a. Throwback Thursday I wanted to share with you my trip to Chicago that I took this summer with my cousin Ryan! This was my first time going to Chicago and I have to say, it really is one of the most amazing cities I’ve ever been to.

The architecture there is just breathtaking. I have a love so deep that the ocean would be jealous when it comes to architecture and lets just say, Chicago did not disappoint. Every single building was unique in its own way and they had so much detail inside and out.

I also love the fact that you can walk everywhere. It’s a lot like New York but less crowded. So I’ve heard. Since, Chicago is a big tourist spot there are so many things to do. We got the CityPass and it was the best decision I made during the entire trip. For just $96 we got to see 5 amazing attractions such as: VIP Entry to Shedd Aquarium, Fast Pass to the Skydeck, All-Access Pass to The Field Museum, 360 Chicago, and the Adler Planetarium! I highly recommend getting the CityPass if you are visiting Chicago because you really get the most bangs for your bucks. The CityPass gave us all access to the exhibits at the museums, movies that they were showing, and we got to skip the lines. I suggest spreading each visit out so you can really spend time at each venue because they are so interesting and you will have so much fun. I felt like a little kid again.

Here are a few photos from the trip:

Exploring!

The view from 360 Chicago!
This church across from 360 Chicago reminded me of Rivendell from LOTR!
Buckingham Fountain
This fish sculpture is stunning. We saw Michael Jordan get into his car here!

All in all, it was a great trip. I definitely would visit Chicago again. Possibly in the Winter if I can deal with all of that snow! Always, Thavy.
