Loot Crate

Every month my little brother gets a package delivered to the house and it’s filled with random, quirky, nerdy/gamer type items. I’ve always been a nerd/gamer at heart so it has always peaked my interest and finally I asked him what it was. Thun-dun-da. It’s a Loot Crate!  So what is a Loot Crate you might ask? In a nutshell, it’s a subscription box that is filled with different types of nerdy/gamer items according to the theme of the month. Each box contains about 5 to 8 items and some of the items are: small toys, t-shirts, books, magazines, etc. Last month’s theme was covert spy so the box contained spyglasses, a shirt, a watch, and a few other spy type gear. Each box has a minimum value of $40, which is double the price of a subscription. So is it worth subscribing to? Honestly, I don’t know. I personally have never purchased a subscription but my little brother loves it. He looks forward to his crate every month.

I decided to purchase a three month subscription and with Games of Thrones coming back in April (April 12, 2015 YESSSS) I kind of had the suspicion that April’s theme crate would be something related to it and I was right! (Happy dance) April’s theme is Fantasy!

I am SUPER excited about my first Loot Crate especially since I love fantasy themed books, movies, stories, games, and everything else you can think of. I will definitely make another post of my crate when it gets here next month for all of you to see. I also heard that there might be a Harry Potter item (eeek!) but that’s not a for sure thing.
